We use cookies and similar technologies sparingly: to run the site and to measure visits and ads. Google's cookies are set only with your permission.
Which cookies we use
1. Essential (no consent required)
The site keeps a few things in your browser's own storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). They are not cookies, they are never sent to us or to anyone else, and you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
moverConsent: your cookie choice ("all" or "essential only"), so we don't ask the same question on every visit. Kept until you reset your choice.moverDraft:*: an unfinished quote form, so you can continue later in the same browser. Removed when you submit the form, and after 30 days at the latest.moverRefCode: the referral code you created on the Finnish "Suosittele" page, together with the name and phone number you entered, so the code is shown again next time. Kept until you clear your browser data.ykTunnus: the ID of a shared-load request, shown on the thank-you page and removed right after.mvCf: a flag that the thank-you page animation has already played. Both live only for the browser session.
2. Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 (Consent Mode v2)
Google's gtag script (Google Ads account AW-18311744779 and Google Analytics 4 property G-GBT9HVJEET) loads on every page before you have made your choice. It starts in Google's Consent Mode v2 with every permission denied by default. Without your permission it sets no cookies and stores no identifier in your browser, but it does send Google anonymous pings: the page address, the time, the consent state and technical details of your browser. Your IP address is necessarily part of that request; Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
When you choose "Accept all", the permissions are updated to granted. Google may then set the cookies _ga and _ga_* (visitor measurement, valid 2 years) and _gcl_au (Google Ads conversion measurement, valid 3 months), and may use the data for measuring and personalising ads in Google's services. This shows us which pages are useful and whether ads lead to quote requests. When you choose "Essential only", the permissions stay denied: no cookies are set, but the anonymous pings continue.

3. Google Fonts
The site's typefaces (Archivo, Karla and IBM Plex Mono) are served from our own server at mover.fi. No request goes to Google or any other third party for them, and they set no cookies.
4. WhatsApp button (no cookies)
The WhatsApp button on the site is a plain link that opens a conversation in the WhatsApp app. It sets no cookies on our site and loads no third-party scripts until you yourself switch to WhatsApp.
Forms
When you send a quote request or any other form, our own server processes it and delivers it to us by email. The message contains the form fields and attachments, the time of sending, the address of the page you sent it from, and your IP address. To limit the number of submissions, the server keeps a hash derived from your IP address for at most one hour. You receive an automatic confirmation by email; it contains no technical data. Form data is not passed on to third parties.
How do I change my choice?
You can clear your choice at any time with the button below: the page reloads and the cookie notice asks again. The button removes only our own choice record. If you had accepted all cookies earlier, the cookies Google has already set remain until you delete them in your browser settings or they expire.
