Terms of service — in plain words.
Fair and clear terms: what the price includes, how booking and cancellation work, and who is responsible for what. In line with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.
Valid from 11 July 2026. These terms do not limit the consumer's rights under mandatory Finnish consumer protection legislation.
1. General
These terms apply to moving, transport and additional services provided by Mover.fi when ordered through our website, by phone or via WhatsApp. We operate in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.
2. Prices and payment
- Moving service is priced by the hour (from €90/h — 2 movers and a truck; from €120/h — 3 movers and a bigger truck). The hourly rate includes carrying, transport, soft moving blankets, fuel and kilometres in the capital region.
- Extra services (packing help, stretch-film wrapping, furniture assembly, moving cleaning etc.) are priced separately — prices are shown in the quote form before ordering.
- A price given before the move is an estimate based on the information provided by the customer. The final price is based on actual time, unless a fixed project price has been agreed in writing.
- Payment methods: card (Visa / Mastercard / Amex), cash, MobilePay, payment link, invoice and Resurs Bank financing. Payment is due at the end of the move unless otherwise agreed.
3. Fixed project price and intercity moves
- For long-distance and intercity moves we can agree a fixed project price — always confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp is sufficient).
- For moves from one city to another we charge a €70 booking fee before our arrival. The booking fee is credited in full against the final bill — it is not an extra cost but secures the booking for both sides.
4. Booking and cancellation
- A booking is binding once we have confirmed it. Rescheduling is free of charge when agreed well in advance.
- Cancellation is free when made no later than 24 hours before the agreed start time.
- If a cancellation is made later than 24 h before the start, or our team arrives and the move cannot be carried out for a reason attributable to the customer, we charge a €100 cancellation fee.
5. Customer's responsibilities
- The customer is responsible for ensuring that self-packed items are packed properly: fragile items (glass, dishes, electronics) wrapped in protective material, boxes closed and carryable.
- We are not liable for damage to the contents of boxes packed by the customer, or for surface scratches on unpacked or insufficiently protected items, unless the damage is caused by our negligence. If you want us to handle packing and protection — order packing help and stretch-film wrapping as extra services.
- The customer ensures unobstructed access routes, necessary lift reservations and parking permits, and informs us in advance of especially heavy or valuable items (e.g. piano, safe, art).
6. Our liability and insurance
- We hold valid liability and transport insurance and a traffic licence.
- We compensate damage caused by our negligence according to the item's current value. We protect all items with soft moving blankets as part of the service.
7. Complaints
Please send any complaints in writing within 14 days of the move to info@mover.fi. We handle every complaint personally. A consumer always has the right to refer a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board and to use the Consumer Advisory Services.
8. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or damage caused by force majeure (e.g. exceptional weather, traffic accident, official orders). We always notify of delays immediately.
9. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update these terms. The terms in force at the time of ordering apply to the order.
